Steeping Giant is a collaboration of San Diego coffee enthusiasts looking to bring quality beverages to your bar or tabletop. 
 

OUR MISSION
We are trying to remedy many of the burdens this extraordinary elixir brings to market & help serve a quality beverage to awaken consumers taste. We rely on knowledge of coffee veterans to guide our sourcing & roasting. Restaurant professionals to produce & develop our products & branding moguls for recognition to bring you the boldest, smoothest, and profitable beverage cold brew has to offer.

WHAT WE'VE ACHIEVED

Through countless hours of research and development we have learned all the positive and negative aspects of cold brew.

 

COLD BREWING

  • Less acid, because of our brewing methods acid solubles are less extracted from the bean which gives it an advantage in diet as well as bitterness.
  • Cold brewing coffee lack the solubles that rapidly degrade coffee. Though not indefinitely, which is why our packaging is so efficient. 
  • Our coffee is nitrogen flushed to  remove all oxygen during bottling & packaging.
  • Maximum steep is a factor that is based around the types of coffee used. We have brewed almost every coffee region to produce a cold brew with more fragrance & taste than others.

 

HOT BREWING

  • Roasting and packaging lead to many variables. Do you really know when your coffee was roasted? How about when it was ground.
  • Oxidation and degradation also occur more rapidly at higher temperatures. The oils in coffee solubles can oxidize more quickly at elevated temperatures, causing coffee to taste sour.
  • Acids degrade, the most notable acid in coffee is chlorogenic acid into quinic and caffeic acid, causing it to taste bitter.
